Friendless and Frustrated

I'm about to sound like a rude and inconsiderate mother, but here goes anyway. I am really wishing I could just leave Joie with no friends and especially no sleepovers. Were we really as bad to our friends parents as the kids today are to us? This girl is rude, expects everyone to cater to her every whim, and has no respect for others. She even pretended to pass out at school today when I didn't leave work to take her and feed her. I mean really, it wasn't even time to leave. It wasn't even 3 o'clock yet. She usually doesn't even get home from school before 4, so I know she isn't getting an afternoon snack in class. She was fine and sat up and acted like nothing was wrong when I told the girls to leave her alone and her act would end, sure enough, bam, over. Then she did the same thing in the car when I told them I wasn't going to stop at McDonald's. She called her mom, who is, by the way, an hour away, because she goes to our school, and begged to be taken home because Addison and Rylie keep talking to her. I told Joie she couldn't watch New Moon, which I think is the real reason she threw a fit. She took her clothes off in the front yard, so Joie thought she could to. They did have their underwear on. But our neighborhood is not that empty that they could get away with something like that. I mean really. She has an additude and whenever Joie is with her she has an additude too. I just want this night to end, there is a reason I avoided her call for the past couple months. Okay, I'm done venting to my family. Love you all and I will see you in two months.

  1. Ugh! I'm glad I'm not the only one that can't stand the friends! In fact, I just said something about it on Facebook yesterday. My kids friends are totally rude to me and my two youngest. And their mom lets them play every day! I can't handle it! I need a break! I told Dakota and Charly that they couldn't play today. They were okay with it, but the kids kept coming over! Like I'm going to change the answer if you nag me to death??? Seriously! Their mom is mostly deaf and their dad is out of town most of the time, so I guess they get away with murder.
Oh, and remember Charly's little accident the other day? That was at their house. I understand that accidents happen and this was TOTALLY an accident, but I just didn't like the mom's reaction. It was like she didn't even care!
And the oldest girl is always bossing Dakota around when she comes over. "Go tell you mom I want a snack. Now!" Are you kidding me? And then the other day, she pushed Cheyenne off our little tramp! Grrr!

  2. I am right there with you both! There have been more than a few times when I had to say to my kids that certain friends were not even allowed in the yard. My kids have to play with them outside the yard in the driveway space between their houses and ours. I do remember that there were a few times that we would bring home friends like this, but I just don't remember it being as bad as it is these days. Hang in there ladies, and pray really hard. It's gotta get better, at least we hope right>;-)

  3. I am there half the time when Elli and Kyla come over and they drive me nuts they are not even my son's friends and I wasnt to ring there necks. The worst part is when they tell Kota and Carli to do something they know is wrong and end up getting them in trouble!!!

  4. Joie's friend did the same thing Alison, kept telling Joie to go ask me this and go ask me that. Even when she knew what the answer would be. I have a horrible feeling that I am going to end up having her in my class next year, and then how do I stay nuetral? You would think with her knowing I am a teacher at her school she would be more respectful. But it was like she doesn't even care. Well she's gone now and she's not coming back. Hopefully ever!!!!!
