The new monster in our driveway... because it won't fit in the garage.

Hey all!!! Well, I finally gave in. Ben's been unhappy with his truck almost from the day we bought it because of a problem with the transmission that the dealership couldn't fix. So, after three years of complaining about it - and stressing me out because of it - I finally let him trade it. It made sense, with the rebates they're giving now and his X-Plan from work, we got a brand new 2010 truck for the price of a 2008!

And can you believe it? I caved and let him buy a diesel even!!! I have vowed I wouldn't let him buy a diesel because they're so loud and stinky. But I was shocked. They had to tell me we were riding in a diesel when we test-drove it. I would have sworn it wasn't.

We're finding a few hitches. The extended cab isn't quite as large as the GMC, so Kaitlyn doesn't fit as well. But, she won't be in the rear-facing seat forever, so we can manage. And we liked that the rear doors opened all the way on the GMC. But what do you do? The payload is tremendous on a diesel, so we'll feel better about the camper being on it. We won't be worried about it being too heavy. And we can still pull the boat, if we need to, because we've got a lot more power. Our first outing this year will be down to Moab. So, we'll see how it does. We're so excited. After all the crap that's been going on at work, I NEED A BREAK!!!! We're going down over our anniversary, so the end of April. Can't wait!

Well, if you made it to the end of my ramblings, here's a payoff. So, Ben got a new baby. And speaking of babies.... the deal was, he got his baby, I get mine! Kaitlyn's going to have a sibling! Probably not right away, we want to wait until Kaitlyn's over a year before starting to try, but we're having another. Yay!!

A Little Skinned Up

If you remember from my last post, I told you to commit Charly's sweet face to memory.  This is why...

This is what her face looks like now.
Let's take a closer look, shall we?

She was running at a friends house across the street and tripped on their patio.
She literally skinned her lip!  It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen!

Look how big and spacey her eyes are!
She skinned from her lips, all the way up into her hair on the left side of her face.
She also skinned both knees and both hands.

When we looked inside her mouth, we noticed something behind her teeth.
At first, we thought it was a chipped tooth, but we weren't sure, so we took her to the InstaCare.

We found out that it was her gums.  They are swollen and bruised, but her teeth seem to be fine.
The doctor said that there were some minor cuts and some nasty bruises.  They just cleaned her up good and told us to give her Motrin and popcicles for the swelling.

She was so brave through the whole thing!
This is later last night.
I think she was in shock at first, then numb, because she kept saying it didn't hurt.
But when she was getting ready for bed last night, she finally complained that her teeth hurt.

Cassidy's 1!

Sorry it took me a little while to get this up.  It's been a little crazy around here!

Cassy and Sierra share a birthday.  We had a party for Cassy yesterday.  Here are a few pics.

Cupcake Batter

Chocolate Love!

She got the beater, but I got the bowl!

Come on, Let's Party!

This is our friends' little girl that was due the day before Cassy.
But she was born 7 weeks early.
You would never know she was a preemie from looking at her!

McKaylee and her baby love!
This is Nate's sister's baby, Madison.

We had fruit, muffins, bagels, juice, and milk.
Cassy was in heaven!

Watch out world!  Here he comes!
Kamron is crawling.

Take a good look at that cute, perfect face.  Commit it to memory!

Alexus is a bit of a picky eater, so I  knew the food was good when she chowed down!

Wow, he looks just like his daddy!

Cassy's two favorite presents:
Suckers from our friends Austin and Ashley
A red teddy bear from Aunt Sarah

I had to hold her hands so that she wouldn't grab the candle

She wasn't really sure what to do with the cake at first,
but she figured it out pretty quick!

Cream cheese frosting!  Yummy!

This is what the cupcakes looked like.
Her whole party centered around the adorable dress and bib Grandma Pulham gave her.
These are the colors that were in the outfit.

Chocolate is a girl's best friend!

And then she finally got to eat the sucker!

Spring Fever

Is anyone else so ready for Spring?  It seems like we get a little taste, then the snow is back with a vengeance.  Its a cruel form of torture!

So what do you do to solve the Sprinter (Spring that's more like Winter) blues?

Get your Garden on!

It made me feel a lot better!
Later, when the girls get home from their friend's house, we are going to plant flowers  in the white cups.  Its gonna be a blast!

This is a test...

Just checking to see if I'm doing this right. I think I've figured out how to post something myself.

I was trying to post pictures, too. I haven't got a more updated picture, I was hoping to post some from Amanda's wedding, but they're still stuck in my camera. Hate it when that happens.

So, I've posted one from day care. I love sending Kaitlyn to Ben's aunt, Christine. She goes to her with her hair an absolute mess, and she comes home to me with it all done and cute. It's a great gig!

Ok so, things have been a little hairy at work. BOTH of my bosses have up and quit within about two weeks of each other. Who knows, maybe this will mean a promotion for me, maybe I'll be losing my job. So, keep your fingers crossed for me.

Countdown Gadget

If you saw the countdown gadget yesterday and noticed it is gone today, don't worry.  Cleve and Megan are still getting married, and I'm still excited for them.  But the gadget had a virus that was making it impossible to get on the blog, so I had to take it off. :(

Spring Cleaning

I didn't know people still do that. I just let the dust accumulate until one of us starts sneezing. ;>

Spring Cleaning

It seems that it's about that time.  Spring Cleaning is upon us.
My question for all of you is this:
What job are you dreading the most?
Anything you are actually looking forward to?

Yay for us!!

I am so glad you decided to do this Alison I love the fact that you are always thinking of us all in your daily activities!!!

Grandma Golding Comes to Visit

Grandma came up for Amanda's wedding last weekend.  Before she went back home she had dinner with us at Mom's.  Here are a few pictures.

Grandma was pretty excited

Aunt Marrion (Grandpa Golding's youngest sister)

Kaitlyn didn't really get what all the excitement was about

Uncle Doug didn't either

But Aunt Dalene did!

Kota was so excited she couldn't sit still

I'm not sure what she was doing here,
but I thought the face was pretty funny.

What a cute little boy!

Three generations of Golding women.
Give Kaitlyn a couple more years,
then try to get a word in edgewise!

Charly and David are best buds...
This week!
