Just letting you all know what is happening way up here in Nowhereville, I mean Billings, Montana. For those that don't know, Brynlee has been found and is on her way to live with her former foster family, Jamie and Paul Bowers. She is stopping over for a short visit with Grandma, Alison, Candace, and the rest of the gang there. We are wishing her the best and that she will finally find what she has been searching for. Keep her in your prayers. Our family had to make a VERY difficult decision this week. Savanna was getting sicker and was more and more painful each day. She had bad hips, and really painful joints. She was in so much pain that she couldn't go to the bathroom anymore without severe shaking and was always dirty in the hind quarters. She was panting all day every day from the pain she was in. She was always tripping and falling, had a really hard time just getting up, and some days she just didn't even try to get up. She was also throwing up blood on occasion and was getting runny stool several times a week. We had to do what was best for her. She died this past Tuesday--May 4, 2010. It has not been easy and I still find myself in tears sometimes (especially when things like sympathy cards from the vets office show up or the therapist asks about her) but she deserved for me, in particular, not be selfish. We all took some pictures with her before she left so indulge me as I share them with you all.
I'm so sorry about Savanna. She was a sweet dog. I hope things look up for you and you are comforted in you loss.
ReplyDeleteI hope Brylee finds some peace as well, just as the gift you gave Savannah was. Our pets are a funny part of our families. I'll never forget Zeus or Tao. The best pets I ever had.
ReplyDeleteOh man, that sucks, Jen. I'm so sorry. Alison & Stacy said it best, so I'll just leave it with what they said. Love you.
